How to Sign Up On, and Administer, VLS e-mail Lists
E-Mail List Administration
Vermont Law School e-mail lists are maintained by a server called Majordomo. You can access this server by going to http://lists.vermontlaw.edu.
Here, you can manage your subscription to mailing lists on campus (subscribe/unsubscribe), as well as maintain any lists you are in charge of.
Basic Instructions
Browse
This option you see the mailing lists that currently exist. To see which ones you are subscribed to, type your email address into the appropriate box, then check the Subscribed field and click Go. To see all the lists, click the All option.
Modify
If you are an administrator for a list or lists, click the Modify button. Then, choose the list you want to edit from the drop-down list, type in the password, and click Go. If you don't know the password, contact the
helpdesk.
Create
If you would like to start a new mailing list, you can submit a request by clicking on the
Create button. You'll need to input a name for your list, a brief description, your desired password, and your email address. Then click the Go button and your request will be handled as soon as possible.
Rename
If you are the administrator of a list, you can rename it if needed. Click the
Rename button and input the old name, new name, and password, then click Go.
Delete
This option lets you request the deletion of a list. Use with caution.
