How to Use the Canon CanoScan N670U USB Scanner

To use the Canon CanoScan N670U USB Scanner, simply follow the directions below.

Plug USB Cable into one of two USB ports located on the back of you computer. Note: Do Not use either port located on the front of the computer.

Step 1

Open Microsoft Photo Editor by clicking the 'Start' button.
From here, select 'Programs', 'Microsoft Office', and then finally, select 'Microsoft Photo Editor'.

Step 2

With Microsoft Photo Editor open, you must select the appropriate scanner. Under the 'File' menu, select 'Select Scanner Source', then select CanoScan N670U/N676U.

Step 3

From Microsoft Photo Editor, select 'File' and 'Scan Image...'

Step 4

Click Save, give the file a name, and save the file to your J drive.
