6/30/08: How to Place a 911 Call on VLS Phones
Emergency 911 phone calls can be made from any phone on campus by dialing 911. Do not dial 9 first.
PLEASE NOTE: The call may take up to 30 seconds to connect. During this time it may sound as if the phone had gone dead. A 911 operator will assist you in a few seconds. During an emergency situation, this time seems very long. Please be patient.
Once connected to an E-911 operator, please slowly and clearly offer your building name and its location on campus. All of our campus phones show the same address.
